In the trilogy Family Life (Spring 2001), Wren played Jane in Transmogrification, Mom in Mom and the Razor Blades, and she directed Minna and the Space People.

She played Doris in The Owl and the Pussycat (Spring 2003), Mary in Absence and Carrie Pooter, Mrs Bouncer and Mrs White in the Victorian At Home with the Pooters (Autumn 2004).

Further credits with Freerange include the unforgettable (for those who saw it) Spoonface in Spoonface Steinberg (Summer 2004/5) and producing, directing Tin Can Lurky (Winter 2005) and directing Oleanna's second tour when it was voted Best Dramatic Production at Buxton Fringe 2006.
