From West End to Freerange
Most actors would be delighted to have the CV of Linzi Matthews. With West End roles in shows ranging from Dr Seuss and Anyone can Whistle to Beauty and the Beast and Blood Brothers she has played in the Savoy theatre, the Old Vic and the Phoenix to name but a few. If you have seen Bill Kenwright's touring Blood Brothers production you may well have seen her playing Linda, a role she has played for the last three years. Linzi has now gone Freerange and is currently rehearsing for our UK Premiere tour of 'The Cutting'. Written by Maureen O’Brien, 'The Cutting' was nominated for Best Play at the London Fringe Awards and Best Newcomer at the Evening Standard Drama Awards.
Linzi will play a young woman held on suspicion of her mother’s murder. In this stunning two-hander Linzi said she could not resist the opportunity to play such a "fabulous part".
'The Cutting' continues its tour throughout July (see The Cutting page for details). Don't miss it!
