Mamet's searing attack on political correctness has more than a hint of Greek tragedy about it. In Oleanna an American university lecturer and his female student become locked in a primal struggle, first for superiority and then for survival. A struggle that neither could have wanted nor expected.

Oleanna has become a modern classic, provoking and shocking audiences on both sides of 'the pond'. Crackling dialogue combined with breathtaking realism make this unique play an unforgettable warning for us all.

At Buxton Fringe Festival 2006 both actors in Oleanna (Lucy Gradwell and Hugo Chandor) were nominated for the Best Actor Award with Hugo winning Best Actor and Oleanna winning Best Production.

"An excellent and thought provoking performance. So easy to get totally lost in the lives of the characters; and clever how we were torn continually between the two. I will definitely see Freerange again. Many Thanks."
