2004 Spring
Spoonface Steinberg

by Lee Hall

Both hilarious and heartrending, this is the story of Spoonface, a seven year old autistic girl diagnosed with cancer. It is vividly related by Spoonface herself. We took a punt with this one, believing it to be both delightful yet disturbing. Originally written as a play for radio and first broadcast on BBC Radio 4 Spoonface won Lee Hall numerous awards. He is now perhaps better known for the success of 'Billy Elliott'

"Excellent, thought provoking and moving. An intimate play, in an intmate setting, performed beautifully"
